President SLACPT

Dear Members of SLACPT,

I am privileged and humbled to assume office as President of the Sri Lanka Association for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics for 2025/26. I thank you for your trust and assure you that, together with my Council, I will do my utmost to promote our Association's objectives.

Established in 2015, we have now completed 10 years of existence. We are now recognised as the stakeholders for Clinical Pharmacology by other professional Colleges and Associations and by the Ministry of Health. This remarkable achievement for such a young association was made possible by the commitment and dedication of my predecessors, their Councils, and our members.

As we embark on the 2nd decade of our journey, Sri Lanka continues to face formidable challenges with economic constraints impacting the provision of safe and effective medicine to meet the healthcare needs of the people. The SLACPT will have to play a pivotal role in meeting these challenges successfully.

The SLACPT will continue to work closely with the MoH, the PGIM and other professional Colleges and Associations to promote the objectives of the Association. I invite all of you to join the activities of the SLACPT and support the Association to be the opinion leader in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (CPT) in Sri Lanka.
